And boy was I shocked when my sister told me that she saw KITT in a parking lot at Changi Airport right here in Singapore yesterday!!!!! Luckily she had her camera with her.... The car appears to be a custom made replica of KITT complete with scanner in front and the custom nose! I thought these customs weren't allowed in Singapore?? I know there are many replica KITT owners particularly in the US and UK..... But I did not even know a KITT replica existed right here in Singapore since conversion of vehicles is not allowed.. How did the owner convert his car to look like the 1982 Pontiac Trans Am which was the model of the car used in Knight Rider since Pontiac is not even available in Singapore??? If thats the case, what car model did he use to convert it this way??? The conversion is not perfect as it does not have the same wheels as KITT and it doesn't have the computer dashboard interior, but its damn good enough for a Singapore Knight Rider fan!!!! He is perhaps the only one in Singapore with a 1:1 scale of a drivable KITT!!
perhaps camaroing a bat mobile will be really eye -catching!!

I'm just curious how he managed to custom his car till it looked really like KITT.... And won't the cops stop him coz the car obviously looks different from other cars on the road...... And when he drives, will he turn on the bright red scanner in front.... That would only be a distraction to other drivers and will also attract the cops... I'm just awe struck with his car.... How he even managed to make it look like KITT??????

I hate to be the attending Traffic Policemen if this car is ever caught speeding.
Traffic Police"The car is a black... erm... Knight Rider car."
So what could the base model be??

Or it could be a Nissan S-13 200SX.
The rear 3/4 window shape of the 200SX is very easy to spot. The front bonnet shape is that of a 200SX. The RX-7 is older and has a much squarer fender edge. The RX-7 body is also much smaller and has a more angular roof line. The roofline of a car is unmodifiable without extensive cutting (which is prohibitively costly).
The main modification comes from a very, very, very long front bumper, and all the relevant and distinctive KITT shapes are there. It is that which gives the car the 'look'. Look at the line where the bumper joins the body, and mentally seperate the plastic bumper from the metal, and you have a 200SX minus a front bumper.
next thing we know someone is going to do a Bumblebee Camaro!!!
