My sister's latest condition

July 7th 2007 - Sister warded in SGH, department called Internal Medicine, Doctor diagnose her of SLE, aka a chronic illness called Lupus. Read more abt this scary disease here at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lupus_erythematosus
. There's a particular fearful statement.
"Lupus can occur at any age, and is most common in women, particularly of non-European descent."

I read that as,"Asian Women will kena Lupus more than Ang moh." Scary.

And so,my sister's was sealed with this incurable illness until..

Dec 16th- Sister warded to SGH,this time's department called Gastrology (stomach specialist),
and guess what? They now suspect her of not contracting SLE!

i was like, WTf?

So does it mean,if i'm suffering from sore eyes, and when i'm pushed into the kidney department, those quacks are gotta tell me becos my kidneys have problems that leads to my sore eyes?

I mean, hey,no man is mighty,or all knowing. But we're never equipped with such medical knowledge, and we're absolutely clueless when it comes to such things. Shouldn't the doctors be the professionals to guide us?

After this incident,it really made doctors in SG look bad. (and dumb)

So,a word of caution. When in doubt, ask. When in need, ask. Just throw them all de questions you have at de back of your head. Rather open your mouth now, then suffer the consqeunces in silence later.

So what illness i wonder they're gonna find in my sis next? Rheumatism?
