Racism

Every man is a racist (women too) when it comes down to judging people by the color,or appearance. A. Hilter gased thousands of Jews because of 'inferior race'. Black people get ostracized in many parts of the country, and the list goes on.

In Singapore, we enjoy our fair share of it too.

How many times we walk by a Sikh just to pinch our friends asking" Ba yee simi sek?' (loosely translated as Sikh's what color?)

Or address Indians as Mangalis? Foreign workers as Bangalas? Malays as Muds? Cheena barbie?

Aristotle's philosophy of classification puts everything into place, non-livings ,living things, big, small, things will similar attributes group together and are put together. but i believe he did not intend for racism to be included.

We judge, in fact we all do. Judging makes things easier for us and makes our choice making faster. But not all the time it works the same. I know a great man whom paved humanistic ways and treating all human lives as equal and all should be respected as humans. Great man stood their ground against such barbaric and narrow tunnel-minded masses. Men like Martin Luther King and Gandhi. (or cos women too, fox's ain;t not sexist either)

Personally i grew up with my mom's biased judgment of Malays (saying they steal, rob in kampongs, blah blah) however turns out her son had good friends in sec, poly, army, even ex gf half-Malay. and i concluded some of my best merits are understood and picked up from them.

It's easy to say all PRC girls are hookers, pinoy's are maid. But the next time when you decided to go ahead and judge, just remember,

Judge them from where they stand, not where you stand.
