Celebration of Life, Ceremony of Death

My neighbor, an 80+ yr old uncle, died on June 18th 2008, which happens to correspond to my birthday this year. I didn't realize the funeral wake downstairs was his until the priest came ringing taoist bells to my corridor on 20th morning.

This Uncle was my neighbor for 21 years plus. and his demise caught me thinking.

How many 21 years more do i have? There are friends whom i've known more than half my life, and many more to come.

I shall not spend my many more 21 years left in vain, and for those whom have been part of my life, i treasure you and love you as my beloved brother,sister,friend.
