I was disappointed by this lecture, probably cos of all de hype and hu has. Even Ivan Kiw sms me telling me it's damn good.
Thus Monday, 30th March i went to attend de lecture with a heart-filled of seeking spirit and thirst of encouragement, only to go back angst and disappointed.
Putting it off crudely, Mr Masaaki sounds like he enjoys talking about how nice SG is, rather then telling us how de materials that night is relevant and de main context.
Look, i'm not pointing fingers, giving a lecture isn't easy, i've conducted and i share de sentiments. Prob it's all de hype that gets to me.
2 things that night.
first, harping over de same point for de whole night. ok we get it, it's important. but isn't there another points in de materials worth sharing?
second, use of other philosophies and faiths as comparison. I don't remember this done openly. Perhaps times have changed. perhaps i'm too conservative and not open enough. For perhaps de philosophy i once embraced has changed.
Even Ms Foo also shared de same sentiments as me too. Prob b4 you decided to tag, ask yourself, how did you feel on that lecture?
