Spending time with your parents

Firstly, I am very elated to hear from Sam, that she still read my blog.

Seriously, i don't see what's so interesting with my life. My thought, probably?
If so, I'd like to sharing one of my thoughts, about spending time with our parents.

I once attended a funeral wake when i was sec 3 of my cousin's(male) dad (my uncle) passing away in Hougang area.
I can vividly imagine de whole picture at de back of my head. Traditional wake below de block, my relatives wearing white tees, people walk ard to send their condolenses, and ppl sitting down, prayers heard in de background.

And there my cousin was, sitting at a corner, quietly. I can rememeber de look on his face. He was searching, searching for a memory, he looks confused, lost, searching for some connecting point, memories of my late uncle with him. I see it all.

Since sec 3, I've told myself, Always spend time with my parents. Which sometimes i make it a point to spend AT LEAST ONE WEEKEND with my folks, to understand them , what makes them nag, learn their skills, understand my parent's life better, make efforts to improve our r/s. Such bonds are not to be taken for granted.

Because, at de end of de day, i really want to sit at my mom(or dad) 's wake, and shred tears that i have no regrets. For i have quality time with my folks, and not frantically searching for lost memories.

And i hope you readers can reflect de same, cos kinship is de most important humanistic part of us.
