Of MGS Rsing

Kojima Productions have pulled similar stunts in the past. In MGS2, all the trailers leading up to the game's release included only Snake, engendering the censorious backlash. In MGS3, a similar thing was done. Everyone assumed they were going to be playing as Snake when the first trailers emerged. People were thinking, 'Snake in the jungle… what?'. In the first E3 trailer for MGS4 Kojima gratuitously put things in to make fans think Snake was BigBoss. Snake had the same gun as BigBoss (the M1911A1), sported an eye-patch (SES), disarmed guards with fancy CQC techniques, and was inconceivably old. The said trailer fooled loads of fans into believing Snake was BigBoss for months.

I guess my whole point here is, that it isn't impossible for Kojima Productions to be pulling the wool over our eyes because they've done it so many times before. Granted, the Podcast has said 'Raiden is back' and that his eye-colour will have a significant impact on the story, but apart from that, no-one to my recollection has come out and said that the Raiden-look-alike in the bulky-ass exoskeleton suit is Raiden. I mean, it could be his son, or Snake after having undergone extensive facial-reconstructive surgery? Nothing can be said with 100% certainty, other than the fact that there is a guy who looks like Raiden, but has slight differences in appearance that distinguishes him from Raiden.
