After reading this post about needy men who could not make decision (lead),

I decided to find out the difference between leading and manipulating.
Both leading and manipulating may appear to be wanting other people to do something.

For me I think the thin line lies in whether the other person wants to follow (with his or her own heart).
A leader discover and plot out a path A or B, he then let his team choose (he doesn’t influence their decisions).
A follower doesn’t even know what are the options.
A manipulator wants to walk B and will make A looks bad.
I think a leader also has his/her team’s well being in mind.
Respect is really not an easy thing to learn/practise. (Take effort to practise).
Over respect or admiration becomes needy, seeking affirmation.
